Help! Monarch or Sovereign

Recommended Posts

I am trying to plan a birthday surprise for my little sister. The surprise part will be easy! She has Down Syndrome so typically I make all of our travel arrangements and she is always surprised and happy. She is a cruise addict like me! :)

The dilemma is do we go on the Sovereign of the Seas in October or go on the Monarch of the Seas in November. I am just looking for a short 4 day cruise and have never been on either of these ships. Connie's birthday (my sister) is actually November 12th so if we went on the Monarch it would fall right on her birthday. However, I want to try to pick the best of the two ship.

Please help me decide! Thanks in advance for any input!

I would pick the Sovereign. She is leaving your area so sail on her before she goes. Also she has the friendliest crew around, in my opinion. I have sailed on her many times and have always enjoyed myself.

I have been on both ships and prefer the Sovereign. But it is nice to be on a ship for your actual birthday: I have spent many a birthday at sea and really had a great time. The staff will really make you feel special with cakes, decorations, etc.
