During the week of March 9 it was Captain Henk Keijer.

Thanks we travelled with him last year for 2 cruises in the Mediterranean. What a wonderful Captain. Really upset that they are not in Europe again this year. Well the Noordam is, but we loved the Westerdam, especially the Captain. We are going on NCL in a month's time, for a 26 night cruise.

Captains do three months on the ship then three months off. They are never aboard for a full year straight.

 

Funny..... I think that one of the Chief Engineers on Westerdam is Jack Keijer. Captain and Chief Engineer with same name. :)

You're right, Sail. Jack Keijer was the Chief Engineer on the Westerdam when we were on board. :)
