Brillance casino help

The casino on the Brilliance is good sized and does have nickel slots, and lots of quarter slots and some dollar slots. It has Wheel of fortune and my favorite: Free and Easy with a bonus wheel. Video poker, roulette, and blackjack too. The slots seemed to become tighter during the second half of the cruise. Have fun. Jim

No it's not a huge casino. They have a nice variety of machines, but with 10 or 11 nights on Brilliance, we ended up not playing every night or just for an hour or so on some evenings. As everyone mentioned, they have video nickels, (they pay off in nickels, though) quarters, dollars and a couple of $5 machines. I think the wheel of fortune was a dollar machine. They also have tables and roulette. It's a very nice casino for a cruise ship.

Just beware that cruise ship casino returns are much lower than land based casinos. For example, Jacks or Better machines are 6/5 payout vs normal 8/5 or 9/6. In backjack to improve their take the dealer hits on soft 17. In craps single odds only. Don't know the numbers on slots but I will guarantee they are poor. Depending on the itinerary your off better dropping your money at the casinos in the ports.

I didn't do well in the Brilliance's casino. But I hear of a woman who won $20,000 on the Wheel of Fortune on our sailing. She had a broken leg and a "halo" type of brace so there wasn't much else she could do for entertainment. I suspect she had a fair bit of her own money in that machine. And yes it's a $1 machine.

The casino was quite large for a cruise ship and we have been on 25 cruises. It had all you need and more.

As for video poker, I did hit a straight flush but didn't gamble that much. The staff there is quite nice.

I did see people winning nice amounts. Yes, they have nickle machines but some of those require 45 nickels with full money in. One nickle at a time just doesn't get you very much.

Quarter machines are better. They use real money, not tokens. Well, don't know about the dollar machines, didn't play those.

Good Luck.

I don't play the slots very much either, but on our last two cruises, on the Brilliance BTW, we spent quite a bit of time in the casino at night. The slots and video machines were paying off well the last time in March. My DW won one of the slots tournaments and won $798. One lady waiting for the tournament sat down at a video poker machine, played $5 and won $4800. A friend of ours would win on every machine that had a "pig" on it. For a cruise ship, there was a good selection of machines to play. I play blackjock, and the minimums are only $5. At least a blackjack, the odds are the same anywhere.
