Hope2havefun Posted April 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2008 Is it worth pre-booking these?? Just wondered how booked up they get and is it easy to just book the day before as never know what the weather is going to be like...... HurricaneSally Posted April 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2008 I'm not sure what you're talking about, what is a beach transfer? Do you mean the tender going to a private island? Or do you mean getting to the beach on any island you visit?
cb at sea Posted April 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2008 At most ports, you don't need an "excursion" to go to the beach! Just grab a cab or bus at the port and go! There are chair rentals, watersport equipment, food, drink, etc.... so buying a trip from the cruiseline isn't necessary. By going on your own, you can spend the amount of time at the beach that suits you! (On excursions, they generally allow you 2 1/2 hours!)
Hope2havefun Posted April 11, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted April 11, 2008 Sorry, meant just getting to the beach. In the excursion booklet they offer a beach transfer (which is about 45 minutes drive) and charge approx $20 per adult and $12 per child, which would be about $60 for us. So, its best then, I take it to grab a cab. Thanks :)
