cruise junky joan Posted April 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Sears has their land's end fleece and turtle necks 75% off the already reduced price. I picked up 5 for our upcoming Alaska trip for about $4.00 each. I don't know that they are the same quality as what is sold in the catalog but for the price I don't think you can compain. Ms belp Posted April 13, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2008 I was looking at Sear's website and didn't find them there. Were you shopping in the store itself? Do you think the sale will still be going on this week? It sounds like you got a wonderful deal. Thanks so much for the tip!

Try landsend.com and anything that doesn't fit can be returned to your local Sears.
vbmom87 Posted April 14, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2008 The sales have been going on for awhile now. I stopped into my local Sears when Lands End winter items were 60% off. However, they had limited fleece and nothing I was interested in, in my size. It is going to be dependent on the individual store as to what is available. Surely worth a stop if you have a Sears nearby.
cruisernh Posted April 14, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2008 The sears stores. DH got a 3-in-1 for 21.00. Nice clearance deals if you can find something that fits
cruise junky joan Posted April 14, 2008 Author #7 Share Posted April 14, 2008 this was in our local store and I don't know how long the sale had been on. I was actually looking for a water proof jacket for my daughter. I couldn't get one of the 3 in 1's, that would have been great, but I was able to get a nice waterproof jacket and with all the fleece shirts I think she'll be just fine. Good luck to the rest of you. It certainly is nice to hear that the quality in the store is the same as what you come to expect from the catalog and of course the tip about returning things to the sears store that you purchase online was great news. gazingm42 Posted April 14, 2008 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2008 I need to check them out. But finding a fleece in the winter in the south is hard. Since it been in the high 70 and low 80s not sure if we have any left.
cruise junky joan Posted April 14, 2008 Author #9 Share Posted April 14, 2008 Just tried on one piece, they seem to run REALLY big. I would like to think it's because I've lost weight, not. This shirt seems like it is at least one size larger than usual. Joan
cruisernh Posted April 14, 2008 #10 Share Posted April 14, 2008 it did seem to run big. but I ordered a system jacket from online and the size was just right probably due to all the layers.

ready4alaska Posted April 15, 2008 #12 Share Posted April 15, 2008 Joan, Thanks a heap for posting! I ran out to Sears and grabbed a pullover sweater for my DS for $8 (normally $50), and some longsleeved undershirt things for $3.88 each (normally $20 each). Awesome! Thank you!! cruise junky joan Posted April 15, 2008 Author #13 Share Posted April 15, 2008 Not a problem, I plan on hitting some of the other Sears in our area to see if they might have something left for the other members of my family. Good Luck to the rest of you bargin hunters!
