Mariner Cruise - 9-28-04

Just back from our hurricane shortened cruise. Other than the bus ride to Miami and debarkation we had a wonderful time. If possible, choose the express debarkation where you take your own bags off. Being from Florida and not having a plane to catch we were near the bottom of the "color" list. Didn't get off till 11:00.

We enjoyed our $500 shipboard credit. Yes, you could get cash from the casino as part of this credit. We brought some of our $$$ home. Meals were just so/so except for Chops. We loved it. Maybe if you weren't basically a steak eater the meals were better. Even the prime rib was not up to par.

The weather was beautiful. Saturday we had a brisk wind and lots of waves but the ship was remarkably steady. The sound of the waves was invigorating.

Mariner is beautiful and we recommend it highly.
