kidfanz Posted April 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2008 We are used to snorkeling in the caribbean and know it's not quite the same in the Mexican Riviera. Is there a place in Cabo, PV or Mazatlan that would not be too cold in August and where we might see colorful fish, sea turtles, rays etc........? Also where the water is more calm. househunter Posted April 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2008 The best snorkling in Cabo is at either Santa Maria or Chileano Bays. They are about 20 minutes out of Cabo. All of the snorkle tours go to these bays which would be the easiest way to get there for a cruiser without a car. The water in August is warming up so you should be fine to snorkle. Have fun!:)

outoftas Posted April 23, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 23, 2008 hello, we did snorkeling in cabo and there were a ton of fish, the water i believe is warm in august so you should have fun, and what surprised us was the variety, we went on the sailing boat 'yael', it was a beautiful boat, and a great sail, we did ask about the other bays while we were there but this boat didn't go there, we set it up with a local guy www.caboticket.com no troubles and a heap of fun! good luck
