I know there is a thread for this, but everytime I try and search it, it keeps coming up "fatal error". I really want the lists of all the songs that everyone suggested for their ipods (mp3's) for when they go on their cruise! I know there were some great suggestions on there. Help!!

Honey, How Bout Color of Love-Celine Dion:D

Come Sail Away is old school? Guess that shows my age!

I'm 36. It is oldschool to me:D I love that song. It hasn't been beat to death the way Margaritaville has. I could live a happy life not hearing that one again. Great song, played OUT!

5. "Southern Cross" - JB's live versions are great

4. "Bama Breeze" - easily on of my favorites

3. "Pirate Looks at Forty" - classic song

2. "Tin Cup Chalice" - one of his best that no one ever talks about

1. "Boat Drinks" - can't tell you how many times I have listened to that song just trying to pass the time and get to my cruise.

Jack Johnson's Curious George soundtrack.

Talk of the Town

I want to be where the talk of the town

Is about last night when the sun went down

And the trees all dance

And the warm wind blows in that same old sound

And the water below gives a gift to the sky

And the clouds give back every time they cry

And make the grass grow green beneath my toes

And if the sun comes out

I'll paint a picture all about

The colors I've been dreaming of

The hours just don't seem enough

To put it all together

Maybe it's as strange as it seems

And the trouble I find is that the trouble finds me

It's a part of my mind it begins with a dream

And a feeling I get when I look and I see

That this world is a puzzle, I'll find all of the pieces

And put it all together, and then I'll rearrange it

I'll follow it forever

I just downloaded a bunch of music for my cruise tomorrow.

U GOTTA HAVE SOME BOB MARLEY TO GET U INTO THE CARIBBEAN VIBE!

I also LOVE the steel drums!!! It tells my soul "we're on vacation"!:D

But ultimately, It's whatever you're into.

Happy sailing!

OK, ever so slightly off topic to begin with but I'll meander back to it at the end:D :

Ever see the movie Out to Sea, with Walter Mathau and Jack Lemmon? Brent Spiner plays a tyranical crooning Cruise Director. It was filmed aboard the Westerdam. At the end of the movie during the credits, all the actors dance singly and in pairs to the song More (Bobby Darin). Brent Spiner is lip syncing to the song whenever he appears. That's the song I have on my IPOD under "cruise music":) !

Other than anything by Jimmy Buffett - here are some others that I like to listen to either before or during my cruises:

Wave on Wave - Pat Green

Some Beach - Blake Shelton

Closer to Free - BoDeans

Walk on the Ocean - Toad the Wet Sprocket

It's 5 o'clock somewhere - Alan Jackson/Jimmy

Soak Up the Sun - Sheryl Crow

No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem - Kenny Chesney

Beer in Mexico - Kenny Chesney

When the Sun Goes Down - Kenny Chesney/Uncle Kracker

Two Tickets to Paradise - Eddie Money

Get Drunk and Be Somebody - Toby Keith

Ten Rounds w/ Jose Cuervo - Tracey Byrd

I'm sure there are more but those were just off the top of my head.

I'm sure most of them have already been mentioned.

Just in case of unforeseen problems on-board and no band on hand, I always pack

Nearer My God To Thee

Just in case. At least the Titanic had a band at the time.

On our last trip in October there was the aunt of one of the flight attendents on board. She got on the pa and sang Amazing Grace for like 5 minutes. We were wondering if she knew something we didn't.

For me anything by Jimmy Buffett or Kenny Chesney will get me there real fast...

Don't think this was mentioned. I'm a huge Bobby Darin fan and everytime I hear Beyond the Sea it makes me want to cruise. Might be cheesey but it works for me. Think it was used on a cruise line commercial but still love it.

Didn't have an MP3 player on last cruise so I'm getting mine loaded now for my cruise in July.
