Tipping on a back to back

Recommended Posts

Hi to anybody out there who has ever done back to back cruises icon_cool.gif

A couple of questions,

We are doing two 11 night cruises on the Brilliance Miami-Miami-Barcelona 19th April - 11th May, When do we tip ? after each 11 night or after the 22 nights icon_eek.gif

Also do we have to move dining tables?

When I do back to back cruises, I tip at the end of each cruise. Sometimes, I have even had to change cabins! Sometimes everything stays the same. By the time you get off the ship, you are going to feel like you are leaving home. Bon Voyage!

Work like a dog. Live like a pauper. Save all your money. Then Cruise!

Hey George. We are on the April 19th with you. You need to tip after each seperate cruise because the staff have to declare after each cruise.

Hi George! Franki is correct on the tipping. We have done a lot of b2b's and have two currently booked right now. Also, a few days before the end of your first cruise, check with the purser for upgrades. We have bought them on board for good prices. It was easy to change cabins, too. They will send staff and luggage carts. You may want to stay put, but it is always fun to see what is available.

As far as keeping the same dining table, we have never requested that before. We always enjoyed the change but if you want to stay I imagine the head waiter could arrange it.

See you in two weeks!

We are doing our first B2B next month. After the first cruise, do we need to pack up and disembark, only then to get back in line? We have booked the same cabin for both cruises? Any feedback is helpful!

NO, you stay put. It's great, because you just do a little US Customs dance, and then go off for the day, or lounge around the ship, if you want. Staying in the same cabin is best, in my opinion, and we've done 2 b2b's. I absolutely do NOT want to pack or move anything!!

If you do change cabins, the previous poster is correct: your cabin steward and the staff practically do it for you, but I'm for staying in the same cabin.

They have limited breakfast on the "turnaround" day, which is actually the disembarkation day for all the other poor souls that have to go home..... icon_biggrin.gif....so, we get breakfast in the Windjammer, then go back to the cabin. They start the buffet up in the Windjammer about 11 -12, so you get lunch there with the new passengers, just like you might have when you started the first cruise.

Your new SeaPass card will be delivered to your room the day before, also.

Cruisecrew, it has been different everytime we have done a b2b. You definately will not have to pack which is so cool! Our last b2b we were escorted through customs by a staff member and then had to check back in. We received our new seapass cards at that time. Check with the purser's desk and they will let you know the procedure for your particular ship. Be sure to let your cabin steward know that you are b2b.

Back to backs are just fantastic. Have a great cruise!
