Need help from San Diego Residents

That hotel is in Chula Vista, not San Diego but rather a southern suburb of sorts. I haven't lived in San Diego for quite a while but unless something has drastically changed I would never ever think of going to Chula Vista for a vacation. You would be much better off bidding them a room through Priceline. You can bid a fourstar downtown for about $90 or if they will have a car you can get them a four star in the area called San Diego coastal for about $60. As with any other big city the hotels will charge additional rates for parking.

Also according to Expedia this motel rates 1 1/2 stars and there is a review in Tripadvisor.com where the guests say they did not feel safe there.

Please make sure you are familiar with the area you will be sending you parents to. Like any other big city San Diego has its good areas and its not so good areas.
