Cruise to nowhere advice

I would do a CTN at the drop of a hat if they weren't so darn expensive. The one we did in 2004 from NYC on the Victory cost as much as some of the 5-day cruises I've done.

Hopefully you don't have any problems - someone onboard with us said they had done the CTN before and that last year's June sailing was not like the others they had been on. I still may end up joining you onboard:D - I need a quick cruise fix and am willing to try once more - most of the problems I had can easily be fixed or could be chalked up to that particular group of people.

I would love to. Still hoping that price drops just a little more before I book and have to talk DH into it - he's always reluctant to book and then has a blast once onboard. :rolleyes: Need to make sure we can also both take that Monday off - this is his busy season at work. We can book last minute if we need to - we drove to my parents' house in Portsmouth after work on Friday night last year, then just had them drop us off at the ship on Saturday morning. It's neat with Harborfest going on - i have lots of great pics of the tall ships in port. I also though it was cool to sail out of Hampton Roads having grown up there and spent lots of time on the bridge tunnel and at Ft. Monroe - it was neat to see it all from a new perspective. :D

That would be neat having grown up there and seeing it from onboard. DW and I just booked a ParknCruise deal at the Sheraton Waterside. We thought why not and avoid the early AM drive down from the Valley:cool:

Good idea - you never know what traffic will do on I-64. Shenandoah Valley? Or Roanoke Valley?

 

I'll pop on over to the roll call instead so I can stop hijacking this thread.:o We may or may not end up going but I can at least post some pics so you guys will have something to look forward to. :p

i was just checking the ctn out of new york in september just to surprise my husband...i would like to see the Miracle but do they cruise far enough for some fun in the sun??? or is it just everything indoors...its pretty cool in september in new york.....

did you mean in october, because we are going on the miracle in october. we did it last year, the first day was georgeous, the 2nd day it did rain, so we did all the indoor stuff, they moved all the contests inside, we shopped, casino, ate, ate, ate, and in between managed to have a few drinks. We really enjoyed ourselves.
