When ships overnight in Nassua they are allowed to have the shops and casino open. That doesnt apply to Victory....Just an FYI

the stores onboard are not large at all. My SIL was vey disappointed as she thought the stores would be mall like.

I called Carnival and they said that the pools are open. I a, not sure if they are just saying that so I'd be more likely to book with them. Since the Southern is in port everyday, I would like the option to use the pools if we wanted.

Yes, they usually are open.
