akwaaba Posted May 26, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2008 I'm doing the dogsledding & glacier via helicopter in Skayway and I need to know what to wear from head to toe; do I need waterproof pants, should I wear sweat pants or jeans, hat or earmuffs, will any gloves do, etc? I hear it's cold, but how cold, what would you wear/carry the second time that you didn't the first time? Thanks Much Sheila
Budget Queen Posted May 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2008 layers, I never like jeans in Alaska, and greatly prefer lined layered wind pants. Hat and gloves, no, it doesn't really matter what "kind". I've never had freezing weather on a glacier, some trips have been actually warm with me using an open jacket.
