Excursions on Caribbean Princess

We are cruising on the Caribbean Princess from July 19-July 28. It departs out of NYC. Its stops include:

Grand Turk, Caicos Islands

San Juan, Puerto Rico

St. Thomas, Virgin Islands

Royal Naval Dockyard, Bermuda

I was wondering if you could recommend any excursions for this cruise. We have been looking at different excursions, but can't decide on one for each stop.

Did you happen to go on the Chukka Beach Horseback Ride and Swim in Grand Turk? Or what about the Helmet Dive in either Grand Turk or Bermuda? Catamaran Sail in Grand Turk or Puerto Rico or Bermuda? We are worrying about getting seasick on the Catamaran. Is it too turbulent?

Please post recommendations or advice on any topic that regards this cruise. Thanks!:)

I have done the Helmet Dive in Bermuda and the Horseback Ride & Swim in Grand Turk with my DD. (She was 10 when we did the Helmet Dive and 12 when we did the Horseback Ride). We thoroughly enjoyed both. Won't be doing the helmet dive again this year (because there's other things we want to do), but may do the horseback ride again.

Can't comment on the others...sorry.

I just got off the CB on 5/26 and we had the same itinerary.

Grand Turk- Chukka Beach horseback ride. I LOVED it. The first half is just a regular trail ride. At the end you get to spend about 10 minutes racing through the water in a big pack. It was a blast! (And it was pretty easy to stay on-so don't worry!)

San Juan- rainforest hike, it was just OK. If you go, wear a bathing suit, you will stop at a waterfall and can swim. Also, pack food. None is included and there is nothing available but plaintain chips/snacks at the little store.

St. Thomas- Water Island Bike and Beach, great fun, rather intense at parts, mountain bike adventure, ends at a gorgeous beach (Honeymoon Beach) and this beach was my favorite beach for the entire cruise!

Bermuda- Snuba. Loved it. Not the most scenic dive/snorkel spot, but some nice coral and some nice fish. I would do it again, but I would go in the first group, not the second, so that you can chill on the beach afterwards.

Any questions, let me know! You are going to have a great time!
