Eco Action Tours

Has anyone use this tour company before? how are they? My husband and I were interested in doing the Historical Old San Juan and Arecibo Observatory Tour that they offer. Any suggestions? Has anyone gone to the arecibo observatory? is it worth the half day to see this?

I can't say about the company, but I have done the Observatory.

 

If it is worth it depends on you. It is an educational place- not a "fun" sporty thing.

If you are interested in spending time reading the info placards and tests, then you will enjoy.

If you want to be entertained, then no.

Thank you for your review. After reading that I'm thinking maybe not going to see it. Any suggestions on what else to do? I know for sure we are going to visit old san juan but what about those caves they talk about on some tours? have you been to any of those? I'm not looking to go on a long hike to get to the caves. I thought about the rainforest but then again I read about the hiking involved and decided against that. any advice is appreciated.

Well, the caves are very nice,but the one cave you can go see is currently closed. They say it will reopen sometime this year.

But if you are coming in the next few months, don't count on it.

Personally, I feel without Clara cave, it is not worth a visit.

 

The rainforest doesn't have to be a lot of hiking. You can stop at the waterfall and the observation tower on the way up. Then just do a short walk in the lush forest. The Rangers offer a nice pretty easy educational walk through the forest-W-Sun 10:30a, 1:30p and 3:15p
