7nucruzers Posted October 12, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2004 great pictures - what cabin and/or deck was that? we are on JOS 11/14 deck 9 and are trying to determine where that deck is located in the picture. I know we are on the same side of the ship as your pictures and forward of the hump. thanks!
goodml Posted October 12, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2004 Jacques, thanks for posting your pics of the QM2, the Jewel and of Quebec City. This past August we had a lovely glass of wine on the terrace shown in your shot of P'tit Champlain. Your shot of le Chateau is amazing. Everyone needs to see Quebec City. It's one of my favourite places in the world.
Sea Island Lady Posted October 12, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2004 Great pictures! Makes me want to try the QM2 someday. She actually looks pretty in your pics. On a sad note, I saw your photos of the whale impaling. How ironic that RCCL touts the "Save the Whale Foundation" and THEY hit a whale. Contrary to your photo title, the ship hit the whale. Remember the whale was in the sea first.:( Whale (Baleine) hit Jewel of the Seas

Globaliser Posted October 12, 2004 #7 Share Posted October 12, 2004 How ironic that RCCL touts the "Save the Whale Foundation" and THEY hit a whale.Ironic, yes, although one could hardly accuse the ship of having meant to do it ... Great pictures, Belle gueule - thanks for sharing them!
SeaBaby Posted October 13, 2004 #8 Share Posted October 13, 2004 Jacques, Great photos - the QM2 is a nice looking ship. We were in Barbados in January and met the QM2 up close as many small boats escorted her into Bridgetown harbour amid lots of fanfare. It was QM2's first port of call on her maiden voyage on this side of the Atlantic. It would have upset me to see the poor whale stuck on the bow of the Jewel, though. We are booked on Jewel for British Isles/Norwegian Fjords next June. How did you like the Jewel? SeaBaby
