Is the air conditioning too cold in the dining room?

Wondering if I'll need a sweater in the Cosmopolitan Restaurant (or Normadie for that matter) on our upcoming Summit cruise? All my evening gowns and informal/casual dresses are sleeveless.

I have found the dining room to be too cold for me on each cruise we have been on. I'm sure the wait staff does not think so. Just take a shawl with you.

I usually send the wifester down before dinner, when she comes back, I look at her chest, if it looks like she can poke my eye out, it's way too cold!

They make it cold in the dining room so the food seems hotter.

Hope this Helps!

I learn quickly to take something to use as a coverup for the dining rooms, theaters, lounges. My daughter worked for a cruise line for seven years...I spent one cruise wearing an old black fleece jacket of hers over my nice formal wear because I hadn't brought anything and she had put all of her nice coverups in storage since she was repostioning from Alaska to the Carribean. I did remember to take it off for our formal pictures and anytime there was a camera around. It taught me I always need to be prepared! icon_wink.gif

I found the temperature in the dining room fine (but then I'm usually the one in our family who is usually too warm)but I carried a shawl so we could go out on deck after dinner if we wanted to. Celebrity shops on board (at least ours in the Baltics last summer)sold "pashmina style" shawls for $10, so you could check it out for yourself and buy one if you needed it.

I just find after a full day in the sun I'm usually shivering if I'm in heavy duty air conditioning. I can't remember what it was like on my last two cruises. But it seems like the general concensus is to use a little of the room in my suitcase to pack something to cover those bare shoulders if need be!
