First cruise with 4yo - Fred Olsen / Black Watch

We're off to the Norwegian Fjords at the end of July on the Black Watch. We're taking our 4yo for the first time and wondered if anyone was able to give any hints/tips/info about FO and children. We've sailed with FO before, and know they're not 'family orientated' like other lines.

We've taken a balcony cabin so that he can go to bed and we can still relax as there is no 'kids club' etc to look after him in the evenings. He's an intelligent & enthusiastic boy, and we do have slight worries about entertaining him on 2 sea days when we don't expect an awful lot of child focused activities, I believe, due to his age we'd have to stay with him if he used the 'play room'.

Luckily he has the widest food taste in the family so we don't expect dining to ever be a problem!! Assuming he's able to dine from the main menu and not have a kiddy version.
