Avis in Galveston?

Does anyone know if there is an Avis location in Galveston for returning a rental car. I have tried to go through the Avis website and it does not give me Galveston location.

I think your choices are Enterprise and Hertz.

From what Iv read on the gulf port departure thread, all the rental car agencies are closed on sunday, so if you are going on on voyager or conquest you are going to pay for it until Monday. downer.

Thanks for the info! I'm flying into Hobby on Sunday and want to keep the car until Monday until it's time to go to the ship, so I might have to go with Hertz or Enterprise.

Enterprise is letting us drop off our car on Sunday. We are paying 120 bucks to go down and 60 bucks to go back. Not the best deal, but it's better than depending on somebody else to get us down there!

We went with Enterprise and are keeping the car for the entire time we are on the ship and parking it at Lighthouse. It was quite a bit cheeper that way. I think it was like $105 + all the taxes and fees. I know the final price was $152 and even though we are paying $30 parking, it was a better deal. And now we'll have a car to get around in since we are staying an extra night in Galveston after the cruise. It was going to cost quite a bit more to do the one-way thing.

I have also been looking at rentals and the base is low, but when you get to the final cost with all the taxes and fees, it is raised like $100 more than the base! A $100 rental winds up costing $200! Beware what the final cost will be with your rentals!
