Rare Woobstr112G Posted June 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2008 I appologize if I've asked this before, but I just can't remember. Can anyone please advise if mini suites on the Diamond Princess (Dolphin Deck) are covered. We have D401 booked for an AUS/NZ cruise in Jan09? Thanks in advance for your replies...... Rare Woobstr112G Posted June 30, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted June 30, 2008 The mini suites on the Dolphin Deck on Diamond are completely uncovered and open. The Emerald Deck mini suites are totally covered. So the Dolphin mini's are covered, do you have a direct view to the water? One more question....this may sound dumb, but is it just location that dictated the difference in price for the various mini's or is there something else? ColoRockiesFan Posted June 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2008 Dolphin deck mini's are completely uncovered and exposed. And yes, you can look straight down into the water. As for pricing, the cruise lines generally charge higher prices for cabins on higher decks and closer to the middle. So the difference b/w and AC mini and an AA mini is that the AA mini's are closer to midship and more desirable (to many).

thegotogirl Posted June 30, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 30, 2008 Mini Suites on Dolphin Deck as stated before are totally uncovered, and you have 4 chairs and a table on your balcony. When you look down, you see waves from the water; up, waves from people who look down to you. That is what we loved best about our mini suite..... a totally unobstructed view of the water. I will definitely, and only book dolphin deck.;)
