just4kixx Posted July 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2008 Does the certificate for a free cruise cover the fuel surcharge and the port taxes and fees? FREE CRUISES Free Cruise Rewards are not valid on Christmas Sailings and New Year Sailings. Free Cruise Reward Coupons may not be combined with Royal Caribbean International Companion Fare Rewards, Free Cruise Rewards, Upgrade Rewards, Cruise Discount Rewards, or other promotional coupons. Upgrades may not be combined with restricted price programs, however, the guest or travel agent may call Royal Caribbean International for details regarding combinability with Price Programs. Free Cruise Rewards are valid only for oceanview staterooms. Doesn't really say, does it... but from my personal experience, the answer is "NO". I just redeemed 50000 points for a free (for 2) 4 night cruise and the base fare was the amount taken off of my bill. It was not the full $1000, rahter the base amount for the lowest available OV stateroom X 2. Hope that helps. A~
