Comfort Suites Help!

I will be traveling with my mom, who has limited mobility, so my plan is to get the comfort suites room for me and my two kids, and my mom will gamble in the casino for the day. My question is regarding location. How close is Comfort Suites to Atlantis? Is it possible to take the taxi straight to Atlantis, drop my mom off and get her settled at the casino and walk to Comfort Suites to check in and get the wrist bands?

Thanks,

Donna

the comfort suites is right next door....yes, you can taxi to atlantis, and you would walk about 5 minutes to front desk at comfort suites, well depends on if you are a fast walker or not....it took us no time but we walk fast.

let me see if I can find a photo to show you

far left bottom corner is the comfort suites, the entrance to the Atlantis you would use for taxi is where you see the glass making a circle on top of the peach bldg....do you see it?

  • 2 weeks later...

I have tried all of the discount codes everyone has offered up and can not get any of them to work for me. I will be in Nassau on Jan. 22. Do you think it is too far in the futre for any discount code to work? The best price I can find is 283.00 for my DH, myself, and my DD (2). Thanks for the help in advance.

I tried the code and there were no special rates available (January 6). The rate is $251 before all taxes. After taxes and fees it's about $320 for 4 people. Still better than booking directly through Carnival!

We were at Atlantis 10/7 using the Comfort Inn rooms and it was FANTASTIC! Check in was slow, but they let you check in any time, but your room won't be ready until 3pm. We never saw our room. When you check in, they give you a yellow card that you take to one of the towel huts at Atlantis to get your actual arm bands.

The water slides were awesome. My favorite though, was the lazy river. There are areas of rapids, waves, and a spot to get on a conveyer belt that takes you to the top of one of the slides. Take the "Tower of Power" exit, and you have a choice of two slides. One has jets that blow you up hills; the other sends you down a fun dark winding tunnel. Either way, you end up back in the lazy river. One word of caution - three members of our group got a little sea sick from the spinning and rapids and movement, so take a Bonine before you go! I did and had no problems.

The casino was nice, but it seemed to be very smokey. We also saw the dolphin show. It was pretty good! The only thing we found that we wanted to do that was not included in the arm bands was the rock climbing wall. i didn't check into it any further, so i don't know how much extra it would have been.

Be ready to pay a lot for food. We got a personal pepperoni pizza $7; a plain hamburger $9 ($10.15 with cheese); a (small) chicken ceasar wrap $11; a container with pesto pasta & grilled veggies $10; a small bottle of water $3.75; and a bottle of Gatoraid $4.50. Yes, over $45 for lunch. Credit card or room key only - no cash.

I hope this rambling has been helpful. If I had it to do all over again, I'd go again.
