What are the rules governing check in? i see that check in time isn't until 3pm. I'd be arriving at 8am 10/7, so should i book the room for 10/6 and request a late check in or do they pretty much know that folks are there for the atlantis wrist bands?

thanks!

Staci

You should book the day of your arrival. They let you check in anytime (they may not have your room ready, but they will give you your card so you can go to Atlantis.

You can check out at the same time if you don't want to use the room at all.

Saves a little time.

We will also be there on 10/7. The CS front desk told me the room may not be ready but we could check in, they would hold our bags in a sercurity room and give us what we need to get our wrist bands. We won't check out then because we'll be charging food at Atlantis.

We are going on a cruise in November and wish to take the water ferry to Atlantis, go to the casino, and have lunch. Do we have to pay a fee just to use the casino? I was told to take a taxi back to the ship. What do the experts recommend? I have not been to the Bahamas in over 20 years - we usually cruise to the Caribbean.

Only fee you pay at the casino is your donations to the slot machines or tables which they gladly accept ! :D The water taxi drops you off near the Atlantis, but a few minutes of walking uphill to get there. We just always use a taxi both ways and get dropped off right at the entrance of the hotel.

is the rate pp or can we save by sharing a taxi ?

IYHO taxi is better than the ferry? I assume cost is about the same ?

Thanks in advance for the info.. getting pretty excited..:D :D :D cruise anywhere where oceans are calm is a delight

That rate is total costs for 2 passengers per my last visit if I recall correctly but with fuel price increases probably a tad higher now..... water taxi is less expensive but the boats used are pretty rickety and are not reliable if time is an issue.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share a new code we received in the mail from our ALFA insurance company. This code worked for us last night and we got a rate of $120 per night at the Comfort Suites in Nassau. The code is 00800590 . Just type it in where it says" Enter your special rate ID. You don't have to have ALFA insurance to use it.

Enjoy!!!!!!

Contacted phone number on web site to book a room on Dec 24 but was told 2 night min. Searched travel web sites (ie Orbitz, Hotels.com...) wanted about 500.00 for 1 night. Went back to Comfort suites web site and booked 1 night for 4 people for 300.00.
