Other than cave tubing or beach?

What do you suggest in Belize other than cave tubing or the beach? For someone not into the water! :)

We will be going on the Legend in Dec and booked the Belikin Brewery and City tour. We are doing active water stuff in Grand Caymen, Cozumel, and Rotan. We figured a quiet tour and a few beers would be a nice relaxing break in the middle of our cruise.

If you are into animals, supposedly they have a great zoo, the Baboon Sanctuary, and as the previous poster stated...Mayan Ruins. Just do an internet search for Belize Excursions and you will get many independant company's websites...they will list things that they offer. See if anything interests you.

We were just in Belize last week and did the River Wallace/Altun Ha Mayan ruins.

 

We took a boat down the river. Beautiful scenery, and we had a very nice guide that could answer any questions and tell us about Belize. When you get off the boat there is a restaurant there and you can get something to eat or drink if you want. Had a bread then got on an air-conditioned coach bus and went to Altun Ha ruins. Roads are quite rough, so if your prone to motion sickness, be prepared! Ruins were real nice and we had the same tour guide till we got back to port. They'll bring you back to port and we had a little time to do some shopping.

We will be in Belize in November and plan to take the Bacab Jungle Adventure Bike Trail. We live near the ocean so a beach day isn't important to us. We love to ride bikes and think that will be a great diversion after being on the ship.
