newbie2cruise Posted October 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2004 I was wondering if a garmet bag with a tux could be taken as a carryon onto the ship? Has anyone done this and was there any problems? thanks!!
hstrybuf Posted October 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2004 Yes, you can carry on a garment bag. We've done it on all our cruises and the only hassle is carrying the darn thing around. :)

Saymyname Posted October 21, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 21, 2004 I have also carried a garment bag (well not me) but my faux husband has. It's the only way to keep your tUX and formal gown wrinkle free. It has been carried on the plane and ship.
RWolver672 Posted October 21, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 21, 2004 It would depend on if it's soft or hard sided. Ours is a hard sided one with wheels and I don't think it would fit through the x-ray machine.
KnATL Posted October 21, 2004 #6 Share Posted October 21, 2004 have to fold it up and squeeze it through the x-ray machine, would it still be wrinkle free? probably, it won't be that way for long.
newbie2cruise Posted October 21, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted October 21, 2004 It is the fabric/vinyl kind, So it can be rolled up or squished. I really dont mind ironing out the wrinkles so much as not having any checked luggage for the ship or airplane. That is a pain. IM just eager to walk into the terminal and go I guess :)
