It's not the America's Cup (those are 12 metres). We talked to somebody on Mariner who had done that excursion in St. Thomas, as I recall. He enjoyed it, although he said they didn't really have enough people to crew the ship properly.

We did the America's Cup Challenge in St Martin - fantastic. Friends who did the same sort of excursion in St Thomas did not have the same experience.

We did the Ocean Yacht racing in St. Thomas through the cruiseline. It was worth every penny, and then some! We went on the first excursion of the morning, and my husband and I were the only guests on that excursion. It was almost like having a private sailboat charter. The crew onboard was extremely friendly, and although we only had a crew of four for our race (me, my husband, the skipper and first mate), it was still a load of fun.
