luvtravel38 Posted August 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2008 What months is there a greater chance due to weather to not be able to tender to the island. I would hate to book a cruise and then miss this port.
Typhoon1 Posted August 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2008 Rough seas can occur anytime, perhaps Bruce may have a better answer, I consider him to be the resident HMC expert.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I've only been there once. Rough seas can occur any time of the year, but I think you'd have a greater chance of bad weather in winter and depending on how things go with hurricanes, you might have a bad time anything from July thru September when hurricanes are more common. It would be a huge loss to miss a stop there since the beach is just sooo nice. But if you don't take a chance, you definitely won't get to stop there. luvtravel38 Posted August 16, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted August 16, 2008 Thanks for the replies. Still not sure what cruise I want to take or if I just want to go to an island for a few days. luvtravel38

I know I'd pick a week in Cozumel over just about any cruise if the choice was totally up to me. Unfortunately, I have non-diving family to consider so I don't get to make the choice on my own. Typhoon1 Posted August 16, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 16, 2008 Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I've only been there once. Only once Bruce? I guess we've beat you then. We are on number three. It must be your fantastic photography. They have always been February/March and the weather has been perfect. I just try to remind people there is a 20% chance you might miss this stop.
