central-fl-cruiser Posted October 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2008 Can anyone advise me on room #11154 in the AF cat on the Pearl? I currently am booked in a BA aft but the price for the AF is only $50 more so I am looking into upselling myself. :) It is 80 square larger according to the web site but what other perks come with it besides an escort when I arrive? Thnak you to anyone that is able to help me out.
mush71 Posted October 8, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2008 As I far as I was told there are no other bonuses to going from a BA to an AF except for some extra space in the room.
mpk218 Posted October 8, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2008 More space is it . If you are sailing alone dont bother but if there are 2 of you take the extra space. One note , if you keep the BA you are "slightly" exposed to the balcony above you . Where as on 11 you are completely covered . But you have the cafe' above 11 , we never heard a thing . either one , you have a great spot .. mpk
caspmorn Posted October 8, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2008 In January, I was in Pearl 11102. Like 11154, I was below the cafeteria. However, I never heard any noise from above. My favorite thing about the AF is that there are curtains at the balcony and a curtain dividing the bed from the sofa. Using both allows you to completely block out all light, even in the middle of the day.
central-fl-cruiser Posted October 8, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted October 8, 2008 I appreciate the 3 that responded so quickly as i was wanting to upsell myself to the AF pretty quickly. Big surprise, the PCC w/NCL didnt switch me when asked. She went to a meeting first so now the aft AF's are gone she said. That ticks me off but I do still have my original aft BA so i saved my $50 for us both and didnt upsell. I have decided to get a new PCC as she hasnt been the most helpful as of yet and i've already booked 2 cruises with her. Live and learn I guess. :)
