bluedevil72 Posted October 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2008 We were on the Conquest which cruised out of Galveston three weeks before Ike hit. Our cruise was affected by Gustav with our itinerary changing to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Progresso, missing out on MoBay on the first port day. Here are some pictures of the ship and the ports we visited. Here is the link http://travel.webshots.com/slideshow/568051002EyciSt

bluedevil72 Posted October 17, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted October 17, 2008 It was great. We had been to Passion Island in 2002 and liked it too, but NC may have been better. There were, at the most, thirty people there the whole day. The food was awesome. We don't drink, but the drinks minus the alcohol were excellent. The beach is probably better at Passion Island because it is bigger and you can wade out forever without getting over your head, but having the beach almost all by yourself is great. We also paid $40 each to snorkel and it was the best snorkel trip we have taken out of the several that we have done. We probably didn't see the great number of fish we have seen other places, but there were only four of us on the glass-bottomed boat with two guides. One went with us and showed us where to look and even took our water camera down deeper to take pictures for us. Our 1 and 1/4 hour trip turned into two hours. It was great. The taxi ride was $15 each way.
