How early to book a flight in FLL?

My family is on the 1/2/04-1/9/04 sailing of Jewel of the Seas. What's the earliest that you would feel comortable booking a flight?

 

Is 12 safe?

12 is definitely safe. Get the colored tags to get you off the ship first. I believe anyone with flights before noon get off first anyway. In FLL I would even go for 11:00. Also, if you get a porter to carry your bags from the "warehouse", you will bypass the long line through customs.

We cruise out of there at least 2 - 3 times a year and take the direct 11:20 flight to BDL and never had a problem over the years.
