Saw this on mousesavers - has anyone heard about this - I don't see it on DCL's site - could this be true?

 

Buy One Disney Cruise, Get One for $99!

 

Sail on a 4-Night or 7-Night Disney cruise departing between January 31 - March 8, 2009 or March 21, 2009 or March 28, 2009 and get a 3-Night Disney cruise for just $99* per person!

*Qualifying guests who book with the code below will receive information in their staterooms when they sail on an eligible cruise in January-March 2009. In April and May 2009 they will be able to book the $99/person cruise for departures between August 13 - December 17, 2009.

Valid in Category 4-12 only. Must sail in same stateroom category and number of cabins. At least one person from original reservation must sail. Non-transferable.

I'm not crazy about this deal... only because it either forces you to book a cruise during that time period to get another cruise at a discount, or you are excluded. How about a deal for just those of us looking for a great deal for one cruise, not two?

 

I'm a DCL fan, not a troll, but I feel this is sort a half-hearted attempt at a deal.

thats an amazing price if you can manage to squeeze your schedule to fit it...we enjoyed DCL and if we could do a cruise over any of those dates the deal would be worth it but we cant work around the restrictions

If it was a year later it would work, but not for the same year. We are looking at going during the first of the year, but no way could we go again in Aug.-Dec. Well maybe Dec. but I would have alot of begging to do and DH won't even book one now becuase he likes to wait last minute for everything. So booking ahead would make him crazy. LOL! I would love it though. Of course I could use the pleading of doing it for DD's b-day which is in Dec.

The odds of them having December cruises available I'm thinking quite slim. I think they are going to use them to fill up their "hurricane season" cruises.

I still see early Dec dates having some openings this year? So I don't think it would all be filled that fast. But that being said, my DH would never do it anyways.

This is a great deal. DCL offered this after 9/11. We went on a 7 day in January 2002 and returned in September for a four day. We are going on the Thanksgiving Double Dip, otherwise I would be going for this. By the way, we were also upgraded on that $99 cruise to a Category 4. It was awesome.

We also took advantage of this deal after 2001. Cruised for 7 nights in a Cat 6 for $2300 for 3 in January; then cruised in Sept on a 3 night for $598 for 3 in cat 6 ($99 per person plus port charges)
