Duty Free Q?

Just wondering if anyone can answer a question about duty free and short cruises?

We are doing the Bris - Melb section of a longer cruise that goes to NZ. Will we still be able to purchase duty free grog on the ship or will it only go on sale once the ship leaves Aussie waters?

Oh bummer. It's probably the same for P&O :( Shame about that! LOL! :p Maybe I should call and ask Kylie.... ;) :p

But P&O UK - not an Aussie ship.

All the Brits should be able to buy duty free when not in port on the Aussie leg.

Maybe Kylie has a sister in London!! :p

Have you checked to see if you have a re entry visa in your passport. Not sure of the requirements these days. I know my sister had to go and get one as she travelled back to the UK on her british passport years ago.

I have an australian one so does not apply to me.

Hi Karon,

Yes resident return visa is inside passport, did that as soon as passport was renewed as I needed it when we travelled to Disneyland and Las Vegas in June this year. Didn't apply to DH as he is Australian.

This board is amazing with all the helpful and quick replies and great advice.

Thanks Karon.

That is good to hear about your visa.

We also went to disneyland and Las vegas in 2002 and also drove for a month on the loop from LA to las vegas, death valley to san fran and back down to LA. What a great trip.

In less than a month we are going to Disneyworld and las vegas.

No, we are not gamblers never gave them even one dollar.
