Luckyroot Posted November 9, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2008 Are there any special balcony cabins? On Princess, the Caribe deck balconies are twice as deep as other balcony cabins (even bigger than some mini-suites). On Celebrity there are some cabins that, because of bumpouts or whatever are angled and slightly larger. Anything like this on NCL, specifically the Jewel, or are all the balconies the same size? davejohn Posted November 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2008 The Caribe balconies on the Jewel are also twice as deep. Half covered, half uncovered.
sottovoce Posted November 9, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2008 The two balcony staterooms at the stern on Jewel's deck 10 are much larger than all others.
Luckyroot Posted November 9, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted November 9, 2008 The Caribe balconies on the Jewel are also twice as deep. Half covered, half uncovered. There is no caribe deck on the NCL Jewel. Caribe Deck is a Princess thing. Anyone with knowledge of the Jewel?
Ask4Jay Posted November 9, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2008 Decks 8, 9 and 10 each have two BA cabins tucked in between the suites. We have done 2 TAs, one on deck 8, the other on deck 9. You can't beat the view from up there. See my avatar at upper left. The balconies were adequate, but I understand that deck 10's balconies are deeper (hearsay). JUSRN Posted November 10, 2008 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2008 Just returned from the Jewel reposition cruise. We had a mini-suite for the first time and the balconys were about 3-4 feet deeper than the regular balcony cabins. I do believe all the other balconys are the same size except for the few across the back of the ship.
CastawayCruiser Posted November 10, 2008 #7 Share Posted November 10, 2008 For regular balcony cabins the two BA's on deck 10 are the largest.

That's what I get for jumping between the Princess and NCL forums.
