Commodore on the Beach

We've stayed there a couple of times (Carnival cruises). I agree with Galveston Cruiser, it's not anything fancy. It's an older motel with all of the rooms facing the bay and Seawall Blvd. IIRC, the cost of a taxi to the port was under $12.00/per taxi. It's located in a very good area on Seawall Blvd. with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

 

We had a continental breakfast included, but it was just cereal and packaged pastries. It's been a while, so things could have changed for better or for worse :(.

 

If you're just looking for a place to crash before the cruise, it's fine :D!
