Can you take a bus from the downtown area to the Paul Gauguin Museum and the Tahiti Museum? Thanks, S&K

You can to the Museum of Tahiti via local transport as it's not far from the airport, but I'm not sure about the Paul Gauguin. It's farther out from the city. When you arrive into Papeete, I would go to the visitor's center, right in front of where the ship is docked and talk to someone local about Le Truck routes. You could also check out the half day tour through Marama tours - I know they do the Gauguin, but not sure about the other.
