How far is port from taxi cabs???

We are going on a disney cruise and a stop in Tortola is planned. I was planning on going to dolphin discovery by cab (pre pay through web site) instead of through a disney excursion - tons cheaper.

 

How far will we have to walk from the ship to the cabs? Are there plenty of cabs around?

 

Anyone have experience going to dolphin discovery on your own without a excursion?

Taxi's are right at the end of the pier.

Correct. Maybe 100 yards or so from the ship. There will appear to be more taxi's there than passengers. No problem getting a taxi.

I've done DolphinDiscovery on my own in Cozumel and everything worked out great...no problems at all.

 

I'll also be taking the Magic to Tortola (in September) and will very possibly be 'doing the dolphins' again as big sister wants to give it a try.:)
