Good Diving?

We are going in January 2009, are there any good dive shops to book through, has anyone done some diving here? Is it worth diving?

We just came back from St Thomas and went scuba diving with Blue Island Divers. They were excellent to work with and we had a great time. The diving was very good. The visibility was better than in St Maarten. Check out www.blueislanddivers.com

We did a two tank dive one reef and one wreck. Both were a lot of fun. There were 5 divers on the boat so it wasn't crowded and they met us right at the end of the Havensight dock.

We dove in St. Thomas, and the diving was very nice. We weren't all that thrilled with the dive op- "dive st. thomas" but it was through the ship, so we couldn't complain too much. There are many dive sites that your dive op can choose from, so even if the weather is a little rough (like it was when we were there), there are still some sheltered, nice areas to dive.

I went with http://www.diveusvi.com/ in 2006 and had a great time. We dove the Catanzar (sp) wreck and Wye Reef. Near the wreck we spotted an Eagle Ray and at the wreck there was a turtle.
