Glory in Cozumel - Dock or Tender?

We just received our documents  and there is an asterisk next to Cozumel - indicating that we will be tendering.

I know that the Puerta Maya pier had been destroyed & rebuilt, so I was wondering if, recently/currently, the Glory had been docking there?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Most Carnival ships will dock at Puerta Maya pier. However, if there are more Carnival ships than be accommodated at that pier, they may be tendered or dock at one of the other two piers.

Try this site to see if it provides any more information. It tends to get more accurate the closer you are to your sailing date.

Thanks for all the replies!

This link ... http://www.cozumelinsider.com/CruiseShips hasn't advanced yet to the week we are sailing (1/10) - I will check it next week.

But this link http://cruisett.com/ports.php was able to show me that only 3 ships are in port on 1/12 and the only other Carnival ship is the Ecstasy.

So ... that means we should be docking at the new and improved Puerta Maya Pier.

I appreciate the help!

Oh, and Heidi n Lauren, I just read your review - GREAT job!

Your dox probably contain old info. Carnival's pier was opened about 2 months ago and their ships actually dock. Was just on Triumph, we were docked next to Valor (or Conquest - I forget just now).

There is no real way to tell how many ships are in port until you get there. I know that often the upscale lines are never shown as being in a port.

It may be that you will tender, or you may dock. It is jsut something that you have to deal with. The most accurate info will be in the cozumel insider. Look at the earlier versions when your ship was there and see if it docked or tendered.
