Princess has us booked in the Marriott North-Ft Lauderdale and won't change it. We have a full 24 hrs before cruise -can anyone tell me shopping wise the closet mall to this hotel. Thanks

The hotel is not walking distance close to any closed regional malls - but being that it is directly off of Cypress Creek Road, I am sure there will be plenty of strip malls in the area to shop in. If the larger regional mall is your thing - there are three good ones that are about 15 - 20 min drive. Head South on 95 and then East on Sunrise Blvd to the Sunrise Galleria - this one is within walking distance of the Fort Lauderdale Strip and Beach. Head North (95 to Glades Road) and you can shop in the Boca Town Center. Head South on 95 to 595 West, exit on Flamingo, head west and you will be at my favorite outlet mall - Sawgrass Mills Mall - over 450 shops battling with fantastic bargains to grab your tourism dollars!

A mall a tad closer would be the Pompano Citi Centre - I've never been there and I don't believe it has the variety of shops - SW corner of Federal Highway and Copans Road, Pompano Beach FL.
