special needs child dect phone

i have a son who is bipolar. while he is 20 yrs old, we need to keep close track of him. does anyone know if i can reserve a dect phone in advance? while we have never had any problems with this cruising, my cell bills are usually a bit much and i just found out about dect phones. a "problem" can arise out of the blue and it would be much easier if he or someone could contact us immediately if we each had one.

We were on the Freedom in December and Guest Services told us they no longer offer to rent dect phones to passengers. I don't know if that would be different in a special needs situation.
