JHarry Posted January 19, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2009 What is the down payment on a cruise with Royal Caribbean? I have found the cruise that I want to take and have spoken with RCI and gotten prices but I neglected to ask what the down payment was. Does anyone have an idea??? Aprille Posted January 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2009 Depends on the length of the cruise. 7-night cruise is $250 p/p. I believe the breakdown is as follows: 3 to 5 night cruise - $100 p/p 6 to 9 night cruise - $250 p/p 10+ night cruise - $450 p/p I'm sure someone will come along and correct me if that's not right. :)
travelntreats Posted January 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2009 RCL is offering 1/2 price deposits right now (and OBC for some ships and sailing dates).....Though I really cannot see that reduced deposit as a benefit because in the end you still owe the final amount, but the OBC makes it appealing ! "Pay me now or pay me later" is the mentality on this idea in my eyes, but it may make booking a cruise more possible for some folks !

I sort of figured it was a pay now or pay later, but the OBC is as you said, appealing.:p
Piggysues Mom Posted January 29, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Yes, I just booked Oasis for $125.00 a person, which worked for me at this time, because I just got off a cruise, and don't really have $500 right now to spare, but I can handle $250.00 for 2 people at this time.;)
