Ship time, island time...my head is spinning!

I'm trying to plan a dive in Roatan, and the guide said it would be at 11:00 am Roatan time. I already know that Roatan is Central time, but what time zone will the ship be operating in? Specifically, the Carnival Legend coming out of Tampa. Does the ship stay in it's original time zone? We have to be back on the ship by 2:30 pm, so an hour's time difference can make or break our dive trip here.

The ship stays on east coast time. The question you need to decide is whether or not Roatan observes daylight savings time. the time difference could be either one hour or two hours. I was on Legend last summer and never paid a bit of attention to local time.

 

I will say that you are not going to make that dive trip any way because, as you know, 3 hours for a dive is really pushing it.
