How long are you in port?

Plenty of shopping/drinking/eating/gambling at Our Lucaya - cab drive is $5pp each way.

I think we are in port from 7 am to 2pm or 8 am to 2 pm - not long at all.

The pier has a small shopping area (used to be nothing) with a bar. That cost nothing but will give you no flavor of the island. If not doing any tours go to Our Lucaya by cab, do a little shopping, maybe eat some conch fritters, gamble a few bucks and go back to the ship. You will feel better about the island as the view from the ship is industrial and has nothing to do with most of the island. Remember this island is 100 miles long and at widest about 15-20 miles. It is a place to go to rather than cruise to.
