We are going in August. I know, kind of nuts going to Europe in august with the holidays and the heat, but that was the only time that worked out for us.

 

I'm sure everything will be great. We are not difficult to please.

The Italians are obviously keen on using local produce in their regional recipes, so sometimes a vegetable or whatever will be extensively used for that style of food because it grows there and for other regions it will be almost non existant.

I found the Italian dishes to be wonderfull! And the prime rib of beef is good enough to put most land based restaurants to shame.

The tiramisu is also perfect.

Thanks so much for posting these. Tiramisu and panna cotta - yum, all time favourites. Rissotto (real, not just rice!) is another of my favourites. I'm looking at MSC to see what will work for us. Happy sailing to all of you who have upcoming cruises.

Nope, there have been price rises in the past 2years and the introduction of a 15% service charge on top. So budget for a bit more.

I did notice that the menu's have the $ sign not the Euro sign and I will be on MSC in the Mediterrean, do you know if these prices are actually in dollars or Euros?

Someone has resurrected a 2 year old thread from a US sailing so hence the prices in $. On a Med cruise it will be in €. these prices are out of date, so do not rely on them.

I'm sure it is lovely food for loads of people but i drove my waiter round the bend as i had the alternative menu every night & had chicken :D sometimes had chips with it & veg ....i'm sorry i can't help it but i don't like cheese ,garlic ,pasta ,spaggetti ,nuts ..i can't mix wine with cream either but i did see something on the menu that i can have so may be ok ..thanks for posting the menu .. ps ...the chicken was very nice :D

I have to agree with you about that "juice." I don't know what it was, but the orange juice wasn't worth drinking. While not the same as juice, I did get fresh fruit (assorted platter which included some fresh orange or 1/2 grapefruit) with my breakfast to get my vitamin c.
