cruise coupon book

New to HAL thinking of booking have had an offer of a cruise coupon book...Is this of any value and what is it for

Perhaps we're unusual, but the booklet was worthless to us - hope the T/A didn't have to pay for it. It was for discounts on a lot of esoteric overpriced things that we would never use. And when we got it, all of the coupons had expired six months before, but the front desk said they would honor them anyway. This was on the Zuiderdam last October....

Ditto for us. I asked at the front desk if I might exchange the coupon book for a soda card or ship board credit. The answer was no. When I asked whether or not the TA had to pay much for the coupon book, the girl at the desk poked her computer and said the TA hadn't had to put out any mony for it.

Thanks...that's what I thought...we are not spa people or a lot of excursions...we go to enjoy the ship, relax and enjoy the ports. usually we book any tours off ship..I don't think I'll let this weigh in on our decision. Thank you again...
