jer630 Posted February 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2009 Has anyone stayed in the Cat 4G cabins on the Splendor or Conquest class - the ones in the very front that run parallel to the length of the ship. Just curious if there were any positives/negatives.
poundcake09 Posted February 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2009 I'm interested in the same thing I've booked 7203 cat 4G for 5/30 on the Liberty. Instead of 185 sq ft. the 4G is listed at 220 sq ft. I was told it was the equivalent of the of an oceanview after all it does have a window. The only down side to the cabin is its on a public walkway. But it pratically unknown to the public, it's like your own private balcony without your chairs, just a bench. I've heard from the boards that it may be a walk to the elevators but whats not on a big ship.
jer630 Posted February 7, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Yeah, we actually booked it without knowing there was even a window. Our agent thought she mentioned it, but didn't. So that was a little bonus. The only other negatives I've found searching around is there could be like linen storage or a steward hangout near those areas. That and the walk to everywhere, but oh well.

firefly333 Posted February 8, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Yes, these used to be 6B cabins, so they are the size of a OV, but there is a wall in front of them blocking the view, so the view is very obstructed is why they were downgraded I assume. firefly333 Posted February 8, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Find someone with a view of the wall. Serene has posted it before as have others. The cabin, just looks like other OV, but its the wall and the lack of view you probably want to see.
