Gift Baskets

I was wondering if anyone has every sent/received a gift basket from somewhere OTHER than the cruise line? Is this allowed? If so, what would be the procedure?

I don't believe that they are allowed any more. Most of the gift basket businesses that you used to hear about on these boards have gone out of business or are not able to deliver to cruise ships.

If you are thinking it would be a great way to get around the 'no liquor brought aboard' rule, it probably won't work out the way you wish. They will hold those bottles the same as all others until the end of your cruise and give them to you then.

You might want to check on the particular cruiseline board. I know that Celebrity will only accept gift baskets from approved vendors.
