Le Galion Beach?

Sun and Fun

Recommended Posts

We are traveling to St. Martin in January with our 4-year-old, 21 month-old, and our friends with a 4-year-old. I read on another thread that Le Galion Beach was very good for small children and near the Butterfly farm. Has anyone else been here? What are your thoughts?

Thanks.

Last February we drove down by the beach for a quick look. It didn't have anything that really appealed to us. We did notice there were numerous families with small children enjoying themselves there (a lot of local folks). Kite surfers and board sailors were active. There was a small beach bar. The old abandoned resort and the rough road kind of turned us off - we like a lot more activity and features - like at Orient Beach.

We took our family to Le Galion Beach and felt it was perfect for what you are wanting. Great sand, clear shallow water, umbrellas and a bar near by for drinks and snacks. No, it doesn't have the action of Orient, but it was great for the family.

By the way, if you are looking for a place where women don't go topless, they are at every beach.
