FLL - to St Sebastian Church from Hyatt Place

We age planning on attending Sat. evening (5 PM) Mass at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Fort Lauderdale and are staying at Hyatt Place Airport north (at 1851 SE 10th Ave). WHat are my options of getting there? I know we can catch a cab going there of course, but getting a cab back might be tough. Would it make sense to catch the SUn Trolley or just walk it (its about 1.7 miles according to Google Maps). I thought walking might be a problem given the Causeway, but I really am not familiar with it.

In Fort Lauderdale, you can call a cab anytime. Bring a cell phone and the number for a cab company and you'll be fine, or schedule a cab pickup in advance.

I did a search and this is the exact same thing we want to do. Hyatt Place has a free shuttle in a certain radius ( I know they won't do port) that I thought was 5 miles. Anyone taken it down to the ocean area of St. Sebastians? Or know if the trolley goes close? THanks.
