Looking for the best shore excursion when Star Princess comes into Manta on Sunday 5th April 7am departs 7pm? Any advice? What cost?

Hi there, we are on the same cruise, I was in Ecuador last spring. The trip to Monticristo is interesting---also the ivory nut factory, the ship building and fishing are interesting. Last year we took a cab $50.00 u.s. for the two of us. The driver did not very much english. I took the pictures of where I wanted to go and he took us. I do speaka very little spanish. We had a guide book and we had a great time. The craft fair with the free bus from the ship is good. It was very hot in Ecuador last year, rain most days. Hope this will help you.

Where did you catch the taxi? Do you have to take a shuttle bus to get off the pier? Good idea about taking pictures and showing the guide!

 

Are any of the taxis big enough for 4 people? (One large - 3 normal!)
